Summer 2024 I worked as a quality control technician for a fishery. I witnessed first hand the delivery of freshly wild caught sockeye salmon, interacted with fisherman and lived on the tenders that bring the fish back to the plants to get processed. Thousands of pounds of fish are caught every year in Bristol Bay. Not much happens for days until the fish starts coming. When they do a frenzy fills the bay, anything can happen at any moment.
