Saudade - a Portuguese word that represents a feeling of longing, melancholia and nostalgia - is a semi-autobiographical still-image film based on my father’s life. The film was made using my father's personal photographic archive, a collection of approximately 2000 colour slides taken in the span of 20 years. It's the life of a musician, traveling in the second half of the 20th century - while the world was tossing and turning there are those amongst us that get to experience the world with innocence while benefiting from the systems that are destroying us.
